Reading both main leads prologues is important, they do have story.

"Yes, Papa, I just reached. I'll call you once I settle into the new house" I said, raising my voice above the noisy traffic. "When are your friends coming there?" he asked. "Maybe in a week" I replied, answering all his questions before disconnecting the call.
Later Shiv called me. "Anvi, I've shared the address with you I'm sorry I couldn't be there to help you move in," he said. "It's fine, Shiv" I said with a small smile. "The ground floor is all yours, and the owner lives upstairs" he added. I hummed in response and passed the address to the taxi driver before hanging up.
When I arrived, I stepped out of the cab, dragging two suitcases, my backpack, and my sling bag. After confirming I was at the right address, I stood at the gate, glancing around for someone to guide me. God knows how I'll manage here, I thought, feeling slightly nervous. Just as I got lost in my thoughts, a deep voice pulled me back.
"Send the files to my office" someone said from the staircase. I turned to see the owner of the voice and froze. The suitcase handle slipped from my grasp as I clutched my dress tightly. Of all people in the world, he was here Vedant Sir. The man I never wanted to meet again. I instinctively turned away, unsure how to face him even after five long years. "Anvika" he called out, and my heart sank. Oh my God, Shiv ji, save me.
I slowly turned around, our eyes meeting for the first time in years. He descended the stairs, his gaze never leaving mine. "Anvika..." he said again, a faint smile on his lips. I forced a smile in return. He still remembers me? That's... surprising.
He stood in front of me, tucking his phone into his pocket, his eyes scanning me from head to toe. "What a surprise" he said, his tone casual. I nodded, keeping the conversation as short as possible. "So, you're the one moving in here?" he asked. "Yes, sir" I replied, keeping my tone polite.
"Oh, come on, Anvika" he said with a slight chuckle. "I was your professor in your first year of graduation. You can call me by my name now." I shook my head lightly, unwilling to break the habit. "Anyway" he added with a teasing smile, "I'm just eight years older than you, I guess."
Eight years? Is that supposed to be 'just'? I thought, choosing to remain silent as I headed toward the house, avoiding further conversation. But why is he following me? I side-eyed him and finally said, "I can manage" as I walked toward the door. He didn't stop.
"I said I can manage" I repeated, turning around once I reached the door. "Well, will you manage with the keys?" he asked, twirling them in his hand. Damn it, Anvi, why are you always in such a hurry? I shut my eyes in embarrassment. "Thank you, sir" I muttered, taking the keys from him.
"You have changed a lot" he said as he picked up my suitcases and followed me inside. "When people can't accept us as we are, we need to change" I replied, my tone clipped. "That's why I lost weight."
"I wasn't talking about your appearance" he said softly. "You were adorable then, and you're adorable now." His words made me pause. Huh? "You were cute back then, and..." he trailed off, his gaze meeting mine briefly before he continued "and now you're beautiful." My steps faltered as I stopped near the door. He cleared his throat, as if realizing what he'd said, and I quickly looked away. "I mean, you were so expressive back then. But now..."
"I'm not like that anymore" I cut him off, my voice firm. "Why?" he asked, his tone genuinely curious. "Because people take advantage" I replied, avoiding his gaze. "We don't live for people. We live for ourselves" he said, turning on the light. His words lingered in the air, echoing in my mind. Old memories resurfaced, flooding me with emotions I wasn't ready to confront.

I sat on the bench, watching my classmates play football and basketball. My chin rested on my hands as my eyes focused on the basketball game my favorite since school.
"Not interested in games?" a voice interrupted my thoughts. I turned to see a man a strikingly handsome man dressed in formal attire with a sleek overcoat. "It's not like that" I replied, slightly startled as he sat beside me. Who comes to a college looking this formal?
"Then why are you sitting here? Go and enjoy" he said, gesturing toward the games. I clenched my dupatta, unsure of what to say. "No one wants me there because..." My voice is low and I left the sentence unfinished. "Who are they to decide" he said, his tone a mix of softness and authority. "If you want to play, just go and play."
I forced a small smile "We don't live for people; we live for ourselves" he added, holding out a chocolate. I hesitated "Don't you like chocolates?" he asked, noticing my hesitation "They're my all-time favorite" I said giving him a smile. He smiled back, his warmth radiating. "Bye, Anvika" he said, standing up to leave. I blinked, surprised. How does he know my name? Following his gaze, I realized he had noticed my ID card hanging around my neck. "Bye" I replied with a small smile.
As he walked away, I couldn't help but feel a strange sense of comfort in his presence. He was kind, gentle, so different from how others usually treated me. I hope he doesn't turn out like the rest, I thought, though a tiny voice in my head scolded me for being naive.
'And Anvi, you idiot you didn't even ask his name!' I leaned back on the bench, my mind racing. Maybe he is from my branch? Let's see if I run into him again.

"What are you thinking" with his voice I
Snapped out of my thoughts "umm.. nothing" I replied "Sir, what about the rent" I asked and he looked at me with raised eyebrow
"Sir?" I looked at him "Anyways I'm going to stay here only for few days" I said in low voice "what? Why?" He almost shouted and I looked at him "I mean it's.. a contract of a Year I guess" he said "why" he asked again, what do he think I can live here seeing him all time 'definitely not'
"About the rent.. it's of 600000/- per month" he said and I said yes without thinking as I'm still processing his presence. "Anvika are you serious" he said and I looked at him with questioning expression "what" I asked.
"who will take 60000/- for this house, with this much amount you can get this whole building for rent" he said but what does he mean "If you are like this then by the time you leave this place you pockets will be empty" he chuckled and I gave him serious glare "I think you even don't know language here and you are saying you will be moving to other place" he said
"You will need someones help here, you know because most people here only speak local language" he said but no way I'm staying here and what so he mean by someone "Just think about it" he said leaving upstairs.

I have done unpacking of only important stuff as I'm leaving this place in few days. My phone vibrated and it is Shiv "hel-" he is half thrown and I cut Shiv off "are you out of mind shiv, do you know whose house is this, it is my college..." I was about to say "yeah Vedant's, he is my friend" what the hell is Vedant sir shiv's friend, I rubbed my forehead.
"Wait!!" He shouted "Don't you say he is the same guy you loved back in college" why the hell his memory power is this strong , anyways its my mistake that I shared everything with him, but who the hell will expect these two are friends.
"I'm getting suspicious Anvi" he said "oh shut up shiv! I'm saying that he was my professor back then" I raised my voice so that I will sound confident. "Anvi so what's the problem" he said in low tone which he always do when i raise my voice "I don't know but I want to change house and yo-" I'm half thrown when I heard a knock on door "Anvi-" I disconnected shiv's call.
"It's already lunchtime and you must be hungry" sir placed a box on table , why the hell he even care about me "thank you sir" I said looking other side "um Anvika here" he said and I looked in his direction and saw a chocolate in his hand which changed my expression, I turned to other side not wanting to show my emotions "I don't eat chocolates" I said "I guess they are your favorite" he remembered everything but why "with time likes and dislikes change" I replied hiding my face behind my hair. After this the room is filled with silence so I turned around , he forced a smile placing chocolate on table and left without a word. I immediately closed the door trying to calm my heartbeat.
I gaze fell on chocolate he brought am I being to rude... I picked chocolate from table 'dairy milk butterscotch crunch' I chuckled, he still remembers what flavor I like , I took a bite of it.
What is your favorite chocolate and flavor?
What is your favorite part?
